Ah Sunday!

It was a nice very crisp fall day today around 4 c so we went for a short walk. Steph slept over last night so she came along too!
Guin and Allen are making supper tonight, bless them! So I can catch up on my fun stuff!

Here's another word for my young Viewers! "Entourage" means...................?

Did you know that the famous London red double decker buses, the "Routemasters" (they have 72 seats) are to be replaced by "bendy" buses? These long articulated buses with 129 seats in a single decker or a more modern 88 seat double decker. There are around 250 red buses still plying London's routes and around 1,000 new buses have been introduced.

After Hurricane Ivan, in Grenada, 93% of the nutmeg trees were uprooted. It takes 15 yrs. before a new tree can bear fruit. The practice of spreading nutmeg shells along garden paths unleashes an exotic aroma when people walk on them. We toured a nutmeg factory when we were in Grenada a few years ago and saw all the nutmeg and mace drying on racks. Indonesia is the world's largest producer of nutmeg in the world. Grenada was the second, so this Hurricane will devastate the island's economy. The last hurricane to hit Grenada was Hurricane Janet in 1955.

93% of the homes in Grenada lost their roofs in the last Hurricane and everyone now has a blue tarp. roof.

In Switzerland are fervent hikers! The fact that 100% of the country is either uphill or downhill produces and almost perfect gene pool of potential hikers! (Winnipeg Free Press, Sat. Oct.16th)

10hr. long episodes--the first 2 hrs are on Sunday (today) --mini profiles of 50 Cnadians--Mon. and Wed. 1 hr. episodes--and then we can all vote on them. Check out C.B.C.

Supper time!

That's too bad that London is doing away with the double decker buses. It was a shame when they got rid of the red phone booths also. They're taking away their icons! Now they're going to be just like every other city. smiley

It's also really too bad about Grenada and all the countries really effected by hurricanes.

I hope you liked the dinner! smiley

Keep the double deckers Blair, you americanized fool. Grenada took a licking that storm. My heart goes out to the islanders. Can't imagine that devastation. We don't see hurricanes of that force. Lucky us.
