Last night, my dearest sister-in-law, Marie, passed away in her sleep. It was a blessing for her at this time as the last year she has been in a wheelchair with a broken hip. She also had Alzheimer's for the last few years, Nevertheless, she lived to the ripe old age of 93 yrs. and had a very full and happy life before her illness.
In our family, we will all remember her wicked little jokes and mimicking of people. The last time I saw her, at her 80th birthday in Ottawa, she recited a really funnyy poem about a burglar who climbed throught a window. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her, both relatives and friends.

Here is another delightful photo of Marie at Josh's birthday with lirrle Steph looking on and Margot presenting the cake to the birthday boy!
As I have been behind in my blogging I must sincerely apologize! Sally our oldest daughter had her 48th birthday on September 27th!! My goodness, how time flies when we are all having fun! David, our oldest grandson, also had his birthday on September 28th. He is now 27 yrs. old, I think I am right.
Here is a pic of Sally down in Gaspe where she lives. Shelby took the photo last year when she went for a trip for the month of September.

Another tall Woody!!
Our granddaughter, Sarah gave us the HAPPY NEWS that she is expecting a baby in May and she and her fiance Christian are very excited about it. They were planning on a little one and have been together for quite awhile so I am sure it will work out well!
Here is a pic of Cary on his birthday--sorry goofed it up the first time!

There are too many birthdays in our family!!!
It is now cool and the gorgeous summer weather we had this year has come to an end. It was truly beautiful--hardly any bugs, no army worms (Tent caterpillars), ardly any mosquitoes!!! Double wow!
As our dock is broken it made swimming in the lake more difficult. I can't go in the water yet as I still have my leg ulcer. It is so frustraating!
Our nephew, Gawain, is now working in Australia! He is in the British Marines in the S.B.S. the Special Boat Service--the commandoes who do the underwater "dirty tricks"!! He dives using a rebreather so as not to show any scuba bubbles to the enemy!! His family is witth him--his wife Becky, and their children Callum their son and Tasha their daughter. We have a standing invitation to go over for a visit! Just wait until I am better I will be over like a shot!! When he was younger he came and stayed with us and attended Grade 7 at Pinewood school. He learned to love the outdoors and learned to ski and canoe while he was here!
Our nephew Joel and his wife Sarah have just bought a plane!! It is a bright yellow Beechcraft 4 seater with a red stripe down the side. He is a qualified pilot and Sarah almost has her wings too!!
Guin and Allen are still working down in Toronto and really enjoy their jobs. In December they are going to move and rent a townhouse and some of the rent can go towards a house or condo purchase later if they want to. They still have their cat Cyan!!
Shelby now has a job at Safeway's and is very pleased about this change in her life!
The boys are all well. Alan had just finished going through the misery of working out a separation with Lori his wife. She is living with her boy friend. Cary and Brad still work at Shaw Cable and going great guns!
THE GRAND CHAMPION, BRAD---he got 2 gold medals in the Canadian National Windsurfing Competetion--incredible!!!
Cheryl, Cary's wife, just got a promotion and is happy about that!
Margot is now running her own business with the Flowere Forever and the trees. Her business is world wide and she is working all hours!
We have our cat Molly. We got her at the animal shelter and she is lots of company, but what a fat cat!
She love to play with her "tent" --a folded up piece of paper which she hides inside! She also love to flop on our bed while we read at night!
Well, time to get supper, so goodbye all. Say a little goodbye to "Auntie" as she was known by everyone. She was always so kind to me right from the very beginning.
